Hi, I’m Laurie - Baker, cookie artist, super mom, proud wife, and dreamer! You know what I’m talking about, right? The dreams that get you out of bed every morning, and scare you a bit, but also make the world a better place? That’s me! I want to be right in that sweet spot!
Sugar Happiness was created for people who are following their dreams and making magic in their own lives!
They love their kids, their family, and friends, and deserve delicious, fun cookies and treats that make their heart happy, taste buds sing, and celebrate the best moments life has to offer.
My recipe for success includes fresh ingredients, small batches, skillful techniques, and the experience of pure joy and playfulness in every cookie and treat. From seasonal cookie decorating kits with your kids, eye-pleasing gifts for colleagues and clients, to delightfully squishy hand-made mallows, I have a continuous supply of happiness for you!
I started this business in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. As we pieced our life back together and worked to create a new normal, I felt as if I was being called to something greater than I’d previously known. It was almost as if through the tragedy, a beacon of hope shined on me and I was compelled to act.
Throughout my life, I’d always been attracted to baking. Combine butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and other ingredients and abracadabra- an edible work of art!
THIS FILLED MY SOUL!
From my daughter’s birthday cakes to fresh cookies for faculty during my teaching years, I have always had encouragement and positive feedback for my creations. My craft really took off with my husband’s real estate agency. Assortment boxes given to friends and clients helped foster strong relationships, and an influx of referrals blessed our family. A magical spark within me gave me inspiration and courage to follow this dream -
making me feel so unbelievably grateful and blessed to have found my calling!
With the support of my family and friends, Sugar Happiness became a reality. Since then, my cookies and treats have graced the likes of weddings, company events, birthday parties, all the major holidays, and have even been used to help raise money for shelter and rescue dogs in need.

We offer thick Chocolate Chip Cookies with colorful sprinkles, to die for Magic Bars with caramelized coconut, and lip-smacking Lemon Cookies drenched in powdery sugary goodness and icing. We also like to keep life interesting with a changing menu. Our vibe is creative, fun, and fresh with a surprise and delight you can look forward to again and again!
We plan our menu in advance based on season, holidays, and any trends or delicious opportunities that spark our interest (and yours).
